Although probably extremely obvious, I am in no way a beauty or blogging professional. I'm an everyday girl who spends far too much of her salary on beauty products. Anything I write is my honest opinion and hope it can help readers make their beauty buys. Please read and enjoy, and don't hesitate to ask me any questions! X

Three Benefit Brightening Beauties.

Hello 2014. I've almost finished cringing at all the "new year, new me" statuses on facebook, and finally, after weeks of being completely absent on this blog, I'm back. I've definitely been over - indulging in all sorts of new make - up  and I've got so many products to review.

I want to start with 3 Benefit products.

[1] "Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow!" Foundation with SPF 25 (Oil Free)
Let's start with the positives, this foundation is light (no looking cakey) and the coverage is entirely up to you as you can easily build it up; less for day and heavier application for the night. The colour is perfect for me and it really does have a brightening element to it (my skin is very dull looking so this product is great in that respect). Now, on the other hand... I would not recommend this if you have really bad acne as it's not great on hiding spots, it's better to just even out skin tone. You also have to be careful when you start blending, as it's easy to miss a few spots with this. This would be a perfect summer foundation, as it's light, but gives you the perfect canvas to decorate your face with some blusher, bronzer or tint (Retails at £25.50).

[2] "Fake Up Crease Control Hydrating Concealer"
Concealers should not pull on your skin or dry it out (but let's face it, most of them do.) Having had this problem with a lot of "stick" concealers, I thought this "Fake Up" concealer would be perfect, it's got the convenience of a stick concealer but it's surrounded by a moisturizer. This means that it really glides on your sensitive under eye area, hydrating and providing a glowing coverage. I wouldn't use this on stubborn spots or as a "spot hider" as it doesn't provide that thickness you need (you would be better off using Benefit's Boi-ing concealer for this). I like to apply this under the eye area, blend in with fingertips and use the Oxygen Wow foundation to really brighten up my face. If you have really bad dark circles under your eyes, use this with the 'boi-ing' concealer for maximum and hydrating coverage. The only negative is the price at £18.50.

[3] "Girl Meets Pearl" Face Primer.
As I've said a million times, my face has no glamorous or natural shine to it (apart from being oily sometimes!) so I need illuminating products. This gives you a "dewy" glow. Unlike other primers, you apply this on top of your make up. After applying my foundation and blusher, I dab this on my upper cheeks and it really wakes my skin up. It's really easy to use and I'm sure it will be very long lasting. You can also apply it under your foundation if you want an all over glow. (Retails at £24.50)
